Visuals for the 2nd World Music Festival "Sun Music"
The second festival expanded significantly by featuring performers of a wide range of musical styles and genres.
According to Saulius, the World Music genre is a vast landscape in which almost all styles can be found. That's why this festival is unpredictable and unique every year.
searching for a concept
The unifying factor for the diversity of this year's programme was Saulius' words that "World music is meant to be listened to and performed live".
This reminded me of another magical concert in the city, which is also wholly immersive when heard live: the music of birds.
Therefore, in the selected concept, the musicians play with birds, which also mirrors the invited performers.
It was fun to hear that musicians were thrilled with the festival's design because they recognized themselves in the posters.

The multi-part composition of the illustration was handy for use in the festival's various communication media.
Festival merchandise
The festival is a family-friendly, high-quality music festival with a focus on soberness. As a result, the organizers partnered with a popular kombucha brand to create special festival labels.
Family-friendliness
Since many children visit the space where the festival's education activities are held for extracurricular activities every day, we thought we could use the festival's visuals to encourage their self-expression and promote the festival.
The colouring sheets also helped keep the children quiet during the concerts.
